Does anybody have the torque specs for the flywheel nut & powerhead of a 1968 Johnson JH-23M 3HP?
I need them because the oem service manual costs over 100$ postage to Germany. Alternatively, it would be great if somebody would help me find a digital version.. :D Searched everywhere & found nothing.

Ok, finally i soldered it back on! I bought myself this little torch here which cost 9€ which is about 12$ and it worked like a charm. Solder flowed nicely between the two parts. Thanks gm280 for the trick with the wet rag, it looks much better when wiped...

while rebuilding the ignition system in my 1968 Johnson JH23M 3HP outboard, i wondered how the shutdown mechanism works. There is the throttle lever on the side of the housing, and on the label behind it, it says stop. There is no kill switch. Wonder if it just shuts the carburetor...
