I have a 99 javelin venom with a 90 Johnson. My rpm gauge stopped working the end of last year. It will read between 500-700 rpm's and that's it. It will not even drop to zero when the ignition is turned off. If I tap on the glass the gauge will drop back down below zero then. I shot the wires...
I just picked up a jon boat with a 91 mariner 25 for what I thought was a good deal. After having this thing a month tuning it up I'm starting to doubt my "good deal". First off I don't think the lower unit oil was ever changed the way it looked and the fuel filter and plugs were junked up...
