I have an older merc outboard that I'm trying to figure out the Manufaturing date. It only says 40hp on it. The serial # is 4120804 Can anyone help me?
I have what appears to be oil or gear lube coming out of my prop when motor is running. What is my problem? Is this normal? It seems to be quite a bit.
