    tool to remove flywheel nut

    I have a 1983 Johnson 7 1/2 hp OB. The flywheel has 3 threaded holes in the top. I think they are for 1/4 inch bolts. How do I get the nut off? What kind of special tool do i need to hold the flywheel. A 3/4 inch socket fits the nut.

    1983 johnson lower case shift cam question

    7 1/2 hp Model J8RCTA How do I turn the shift cam to be in the right position to insert the shift rod. It seems to be held in place by a pin. The shift cam and hole in the casting above the cam do not line up. Also what gear should the shift lever be in for reassembly ?

    1983 Johnson 7.5 hp with 5" extension

    If the shift shaft has a coupling, then wouldn't the drive shaft have a coupling ? I was told all I need do is take the lower shift shaft coupling screw out , then the lower gearcase can be pulled free. Is this all true ? Thanks Luther
