    Our boat, with a 4.3 efi, randomly would miss on acceleration, then quickly progressed till it failed completely and would not restart. It was the ignition sensor.

    My tachometer occasionally jumps. It's not constantly, from what I'm noticing it will do this for a few times, about once an hour or so. Any ideas on what is going on?     At what point should one consider replacing anode parts on an Alpha One Gen 2 outdrive? How do these look? I have about 700 hours on it.

    Sounds different than mine.. I may be wrong, but I think you can bypass the shift interrupter, just for troubleshooting. You probably need someone more knowledgeable to chime in on that...

    How much time goes by before it will run again? Kind of sounds like mine was doing, after about 1 1/2 hours it would run again. Mine turned out to be vapor locking.

    I got everything squared away with the motor, and so far I've put over 3 hours on it. My oil pressure fluctuated some to start, then steadied out, and ran great this weekend. I appreciate all the help getting my boat back on the water, this is a great group. Thank you!

    I installed my intake manifold, and I'm on my 3rd oil change so far. Trying to think ahead, which I should've done sooner... :) I will need to check the timing, and according to the service manual there's an EFI Timing Tool that I need to use, part # 91-805747A2. It will take at least a week...

    Maybe this is corrosion, it is inconsistent on the bolts. I wire brushed them down, and I have a different bolt that I ran in and out of the holes to make sure they did so. I shop vac'ed the holes out.
