I have been dealing with this since the first week of july. Everytime i go to put my boat in gear it will stall out. I can start it giving it gas in neutral, but when i go to put it in gear in stalls. I have taken it to the mechanic several times and spent way too much money, and it still does...
So I took my boat to the mechanic and told them it has been sitting for the last two years. I told them do what they need to do to get it running. They gave it a tune up and cleaned the carb. They said they did a lake test run. I get it back and all this sounds awesome.

What strength of cable would you guys suggest to replace my pylon cable? It is the one that goes towards the back of the boat. I think I saw some rated for 850lbs and 350lbs.

all of the light functions work except for the right blinker/brake. I am 100% sure it is not a ground issue. I have a 2001 explorer sport trac and just had the light connector checked out and everything works. Any ideas?

sorry for the newbie question, but is it possible my 470 doesn't have a fuel filter? I was looking at the shop manual and took apart what I though it would be, but nothing. I'm totally new to engine things. Also I'm having trouble finding the fuel/water separator.
