I just found out that I have to buy a pump-thing to fill the lower unit oil. Okay, no problem.. I'm gonna go hit Napa.
So is there anything else I need to know that is "common knowledge" that I'm missing? :-)

I've just had a successful trial start of my new-to-me 71 Evinrude 6hp.
Before I put the boat on the lake though, I would love to check the oil level in the lower unit to make sure there's enough. I found the "oil level" plug, but it seems to be rather stuck.
