    Dead trim and tilt

    I have a 1984 Johnson 115 and the trim and tilt stopped working all together. There is no sound, motor running etc.., at the motor. I think it may be a problem with the switch in the remote. Or, could it be one of many problems that needs systematic testing. I don't have a manual for this...

    What year is my Johnson 115?

    I have a Johnson 115 V4 VRO. I thought it was a 1977 model, the same as the boat, but I may be wrong. I need to replace the lower unit but the power head is in good shape. The only numbers I can find are on the top of the block. J115MLCRD and J595881. Any help would be appreciated.
