Got the foot apart but can,t get the prop shaft out.Looks like sleeve slides out with prop shaft.It wont slide out.used slip hammer type to force it out.Any ideas?Also a schematic of the foot gear set up would be great.And wheres best place to buy rev. gear and seals?
When put in reverse with engine off can turn by hand and feels some resistance forward is o.k.Maybe a pin shear or reverse gear gone?Have any idea what might be the problem and what all is involved.Also what kinda bucks we looking at?New to this.Thanks
The steering arms at motor have been greased reg.but steering is still tight.Theres like a round box that connects to steering wheel.Any way to lubricate this.Didn,t know what would happen if I take this apart.Any help?
120 evinrude runs fine but noticed that if push choke in while running in gear it peps up more rpm.Is this normal,if not are the carbs stopped up or ??? :confused:

Bought a '87 17ft. Challenger with a evinrude 120h.p. motor.The numbers on the foot tag are wore off.Any idea on what the model number would be?Not sure if it is the orig. motor.Would like to get a oem repair manual but don,t know model or can,t get any response from boat wizard.
