    50 Mercury Start but hard to stay start.

    It stay start only at full choke. Clean carbs, and pull spark plug wire off while motor running all make a different execpt #3 it kills. Any suggestions. Stator, ignition box maybe bad. If they are how to check them.

    50 Mercury Only run on full choke.

    Motor only run at full choke, push choke in and it kill.

    50 Mercury Motor idles rough.

    This motor ran good for a while but look after a couple of month (2) of just sitting there when i went to start it, idle rough, and when i take of the #3 spark plug wire off it kills. I notice there was oil in the barrel of water that use to put the propeller in. Help please.
