    Re: What boating mistakes have you made? I installed a new floor in my Wellcraft American 190 today...Luckily i noticed the screws through the hull before the new carpet went in...and luckily I own a gelcoat repair kit. I guess it was my lucky Monday. :lol:

    Help - I removed the shift pivot screw

    :mad: Ah, if only I had turned the page and read the little note, "CAUTION : Do not remove the shift pivot screw". A 1990 Force 90 hp, and yes, I took the "wrong" drain plug out today...I'm so bummed out. Of course I moved the shifter and the screw won't go back in, and I've been reading here...

    1972 Johnson 100hp wiring harness

    1989 Mercruiser 4.3 Ltr. STARTER PROBLEM

    Hmmmm, I posted this earlier but it didn't appear, and I now have additional info. When I turn the key, sometimes all i get is a click. I thought probably it was a starter cellenoid, so I had the starter professionaly rebuilt. It also has a new 1000 cold crank amp battery, and all connections...

    Shop time/cost estimate, replace pistons, Force 90hp??

    I have a 1990 Force 90 hp outboard with low compression in one cylinder. The engine still runs, just poorly, but I'm hoping it's just pistons, rings, wristpins, bearings, gaskets, etc, and possibly a bore or honing, then rebuilding and cleaning the carbs. I am also toying with doing the job...
