    Clutch dog question

    Got a 1972 25HP Johnson. Jumps out of gear. What are the ears on the clutch dog supposed to look like? Mine are rounded at all 4 outer corners of the ears. Looks as tho they were machined. I did find new for just over $100.00, but don't want to spend it if the problem is somewhere else. Thanks

    25elr72 power head removal

    I've got every bolt but 1 loose. What voodoo chant do I have to do to get the foreward-most bolt loose- the one that is right in fornt of the pivot?<br /><br />I've got the rubber mounts loose and can get some movement, but I cannot on the bolt to get it out.

    Made the trip to Oconomowoc,Wi and came back with a 1972 25 hp. No lower unit,but has elect. start and ele. choke. Put LU from my 18 Fast twin on it, shift lever works really soft- not like the one on my 72 20hp or the Fast Twin, but shift it does. Any ideas on making it firm, let me know. I...

    Where did I go wrong?

    The 1959 18 hp FastTwin w/ 20 hp power head refuses to fire. Have the adj screws at the start point- HI speed 1 turn out, low 1 1/2 out.
