    74 Lightwin Fuel Pump

    Hi Guys, I just picked up a 74 4hp lightwin. Its sucking air from the fuel pump and I'd like to try and rebuid it before just replacing it. The earliest year I'm seeing a rebuild kit available is 81. Any chance I can use that or maybe even use a newer year pump altogether?

    So I've been working on my 82 Johnson 60hp

    I do have a question, which key should be used for the impeller? I would like to use the stainless steel pin but would welcome advice. The two keys that came with the new water pump kit are the black and white ones. Only the black one fits. The original stainless steel pin fits too. Any thoughts?
