I have a 2001 Mercury Saltwater Series 225 EFI that smokes alot, I mean alot. I know it's normal when it's cold but once warmed up it still leaves a good sheen behind the motor and smokes a fair amount, almost like it is not burning all of the oil. I am using Mercury's premium plus 2 stroke oil...
I have a 2001 225 Mercury Saltwater Series that seems to smoke way too much especially when it is cold. This outboard only has about 45 hours on it. Is this normal or is there an adjustment that can be made to reduce the amount of smoke?
