    Broken bearing cage - connecting rod - need to replace?

    When replacing one of the pistons on my 1992 Force 150 hp - snapped one of the connecting rod small end bearing cages in two pieces. Of the 7 bearings captured in the cage, 5 are in one piece, 1 is in the other, and one is in between where the broken spot was. Clean break, edges fit back...

    Battery Switch Alternator connection Force 150?

    I have a Perko 2 battery switch with alternator field disconnect, and a Force 150 (1992 I think). Do I need to connect the field disconnect up to protect the charging system/rectifier?
