You’re saying the inch of hard stuff around what I assumed was the gasket was all exhaust build up? Is it like Creosote? I have the gaskets coming in the mail as well as other parts I’ll be sure to try to clean it all out.
Part #1? There was was seam to me like plastic melting down the exhaust housing you can see between the bolts what is still stuck in there. Is that soot? Feels like plastic. Also the gasket between the engine and power head was kinda blown out. The surrounding foam/ rubber like gasket is oil...
The grommet on the pump housing is a little dry but I pulled the power head off and the gasket was blown out. And melted plastic? Is part of the gasket made of plastic under the motor?
Pulled thermostat and nothing is getting up to it. Tried to prime it by pouring water down into it with the muffs on and running, still nothing? Pulled the lower unit off pushed water through the water pickup and it seems to come out the spit tube as well as the exhaust? but doesn’t make it up...
