    Fixed: I bypassed the ignition switch and hotwired it and it fired right up. Just a bad ignition switch. Thanks for your help!

    The man-overboard switch has been bypassed(has power, engine has no spark when it is disconnected). I really need a wiring diagram but my google-fu has been weak.

    The sender is in perfect working order, it most likely has never been taken off(and neither has the gimble), yet for some odd reason it is no longer touching anything. Can you send some pics of yours?

    No it does not touch at all anywhere up or down. I have seen this on two different forums with the same problem and no resolutions. I need pics of a working OMC cobra drive with the sensor functioning as it should.

    Is the vortec 4.3 the same short block as the early non-vortec?

    I know theres a balance shaft after like 1992, I have a 1993 with a cracked block but I found a great deal on a 4.3 vortec from a 2007 truck. I want to know if I swap non-vortec marine heads and a marine camshaft is everything else the same or close enough?
