Motor is new to me, I have no history with it. Seems to run great to the untrained, fires up easy. Trouble was noticed with due to the oil sheen or slick, lower mid section is wet with gas/oil too...

This is a 3 1/2 Evinrude Lighting.<br /><br />The bottom set screw always wants to leak. I thought I had it fixed when I got hold of he original leather gaskets. This didn't help.<br /><br />Any ideas or am I missing some crucial part.
On the cover this appears to be a 450.<br /><br />Serial is 1511569 Problem is that the motor is black not cream like a 1962.<br /><br />Delco elec start w/o alternator. Manual and electric choke actuation.<br /><br />Really have no idea what this originally was and hopefully still is.<br...
