    Mercruiser option code

    Hi all, I just bought a 1984 Century Resorter with a Merc. 260 inboard. On the valve cover is a "Mercruiser Option Code" plate. I can't find out anything about it, or what options it covers or how to decipher it. I'll try to add a pic. Thanks all
