Just did a comparison between two props on my 18' Thompson Sea Lancer with Merc 140 I/O. What are your thoughts?
Old Prop is Merc SS Vengeance 21p
New Prop is Turning Point Aluminum Legacy/Hustler 19p

Went to change the oil on the boat today. Started the water flow with the ear muffs to warm up the engine. Thermostat usually opens at 160 and lets the water flow. Engine approached high 190's and I shut her down.

Well I pulled the trigger. I am replacing my Merc Vengeance SS 21P with a TP Legacy (same as Hustler) 14.25x19P.
So the question.
Right now I have terrible holeshot with the Merc prop and get 39mph@4400rpm(WOT).
Does anyone have a similar setup to give me some expectations?
I am in need of a better performing prop for my application.
Specifics:
Boat: 1982 Thompson Sea Lancer 184, 2200lbs
Motor: 1982 Mercruiser 3.0L 140HP 170hrs (yes that is right, original & mint)
Current prop: Mercury SS Vengeance 21p
Current test results: WOT 4400 with 39.8mph (GPS)
