    I took my boat out for first time on Sunday. We used it about 5 hours and then it overheated. Was towed back to dock and it sounded like a faucet was running under engine. Started it Monday and it smoked and then same running water. Engine didn’t even get up to temp ran about 1 minute at most.

    Ok I guess I can’t use my riding lawnmower anymore let the grass grow. Can’t use my snowblower just let the **** pile up. Can’t use my truck either so can’t go to work.

    I’ve been around boats all my life. My dad was a charger captain and also didn’t know anything about engines. If you think it’s a safety issue why doesn’t the coast guard make you know about engines to get your license. Because they don’t. Which means your statement holds no useful information.

    Well I know nothing about engines which is why I take it to the shop. So if you get your oil changed you’re suppose to crawl underneath and make sure everything is tight and secure.

    Ok just not familiar with these in fact never heard of them. It seems like this could possibly be the problem. Which I would think would fall on who winterized it.

    Can these plugs not be tightened enough and come out. I have went to the same guy with this boat for six years and it just turn key and go in spring. I used it for about five hours before it overheated.

    No it was after it overheated in fact the next day when we were going to look at the water pump.

    Ok thanks I will see if I can find anything. It’s actually in the water yet. One other thing that happens is it starts smoking soon after it starts. It don’t even get up to temperature.

    I live in Wisconsin so every fall it gets winterized.

    First time out after the winter it overheated. Got towed to the dock and it sounded like a faucet was running under the engine. Bilge would kick in and water would come out. No oil. Checked oil it was good didn’t see anything like metal on dipstick.

    How do you prove your boat wasn’t winterized properly. What prevents them from saying it was other factors.
