It has external alternator.I do not know what color wire is used for tach hook up. Is the wire for the tach signal coming from the ac side of the alternator.
I would like to know is there anyway to perform the peak voltage test for the charge and pulser coils. Without using adapter or the harness that yamaha shows in the manual. Also is thier anyway to read the codes from the microprosser with out the winky blinky. Thanks Mike

I have the starbord head off of my engine because it was running hot. The thermostate checked ok, so I started checking the fow path so i could fush it. there is only one hole at the bottom that drains out. i can not see where the water comes in. help would shure be appreciate. mike
Rodbolt could really use some help here have a manual but it does not explain the function just tells how to test it. What symtoms will you see if this sensor is bad, what does the cdi unit do with the resistance change from the sensor as the temps change. Thanks Mike
