    what is better

    Looking for a new to me boat, what do you think is better ? say a 15 year old boat with 200 hours and well maintained or a say a 10 year old boat with 600 hours ? not sure I wanna commit to buying a Brand new boat and really don't wanna play the " Project Boat " game again How many hours...

    Nuetral detent

    1987 4.3 L Omc Cobra I installed the outdrive on the boat. Shifts fine forward and reverse. I no longer have a nuetral detent ( safety to keep inadvertant gear engage ) It was fine before I I took off the sterndrive, does anyone know what I did wrong or the correct way to fix this ...

    Thanks, 1987 Omc cobra 4.3 L, I got the front of the motor up and got it aligned well, however I still need approx 1/8 " up from the motor mounts. this puts it a couple turns up from the previous position of the lock nut and adjusting nut I get to a point and the whole bolt in the motor...

    alignment ? ? ?

    Hi ... 1987 4.3 L omc cobra I can get the alignment tool about 1 - 1 1/2 " freely into the coupler, after that it binds .... maybe I'm overthinking this but ....... if the tool show's splines in the grease, all the way around, but the bottom of the tool is quite a bit more contact deeper...

    Intake water hose

    Does anyone know where I can find the intake water hose for a 1987 Omc cobra 4.3 L .......it's 1" diameter ..... I tried 1" heater core hose but think I might have a problem with kinking and restricting the water especialy in a left turn .... any help would be appriciated .. Thanks

    OMC cobra lower unti

    Hi, new to posting but not to reading them ..anyway thanks 1987 4.3 L Omc Cobra .. For some unknow reason, I am suspecting U joint bellows for major water intrusion in to the lower unit. started hearing some grinding and getting major vibration out of lower unit, I tried to limp it back...
