84 Johnson 15hp SeaHorse needs thermostat changed out. But I cannot easily remove cylinder head cover due to engine case/cover bottom being so close. Manual does not show how to remove lower cover. I see what looks like 3 rubber motor mounts deep under engine. Any help is appreciated.
Was surprised to find about a pint of water when I was changing my LU oil. Being new to servicing this myself, I was curious about the potential sources for water intrusion other than the upper/lower screw seals. Any coaching would be appreciated. BTW - which publisher of shop/repair manuals...
