    Merc 850 mechanical trim

    I don't know how to do this, and only power trim is covered in the book I bought. There are a series of holes, and a pin. There is also what looks like a hooked device to lock the trim in place, connected to a rod which goes down to the drive end. Motor bounced up out of water in reverse...

    merc 850/ no spark on 3 & 4

    80 hp 4cyl, around 1980 vintage by serial number. I've replaced the wires from the electronic box to the coils, and swapped around the coils and HT wires to establish that the wires and coils work ok. That would seem to leave the black box, the stator, or the trigger assembly as suspect. How...
