Sounds like a power pack. When the engine warms up if the power pack is going out it will shut it down. Once the engine cools it’ll start up again. Had a similar issue a long time ago out of the water it was fine but in water once it warmed up it would shut down. Power pack was the issue for me.

My 1989 evinrude 150 ignition switch is buzzing inconsistently. It will stop if the key is wiggled, happens when cold so it is not an overheat warning. Starts, runs perfect, but the buzz occurs unpredictably. It will stop if I play with the key. Is the ignition bad?
