    voltage readings

    Want run when hot

    I have a 1984 evinrude model E60ELCRE and it want run at high RPM's when it gets hot. I've only had it on the water twice and both times it would run great for 2 to 3 mintues and then start to miss. I've checked the stator and power pack with meter and they seem to check good. I'm really not...

    Reverse Problems

    I have a 1984 Johnson model E60ELCRE and with motor out of water and running on hose it shifts into forward and reverse gears fine. Once I put boat in water it wont shift into reverse. It ran all day with no problems with forward gear, It did go into reverse once or twice but would jump back out...

    Rpm

    I have a 1991 18' SunTracker pontoon with a 1989 28hp johnson, The wot rpm is 4400 at 12 mph,with a 91/4 x 11 prop. Is this rpm correct. One person says this is correct due to load another says it should be around 5400. Can't find rpm specs for this motor.
