    Voltage Regulator

Why are there really cheap ($35) and really expensive ($150>) voltage regulators on the market? They both look the same on the outside? I had two cheap ones fail in the past year. I went ahead a bought an expensive regulator. I hope this is a good case of "you get what you pay for"

    Trim gauge adjustment

I have a 200 HP merc with a 3 ram trim/tilt. The trim gauge has never been correct. When trimming full down the gauge goes down to zero and starts coming back up to about 1/4 on the gauge before the trim hits zero. So... the sender range is off. I have tried adjusting but the slotted holes don't...

    v200 2 stroke tach issues

Has anyone experienced a tach that has a mind of its own ??? These issues are completely random, and most of the time the tach works just fine. 1. Tach will need zero, hit the trim up or down and the tach bounces to 5K then back to zero when the trim is released. 2. Tach will read fine up to...

I bought a 1987 model year boat. Someone in the past changed the lowerend and/or powerhead. The lower end SN comes up as a 94 200 XRI which matches what the cowling says. The power head is not close... For one its carbureted. My main question is about the charging system. I know it?s older...
