Today I noticed this mystery hose spraying a fuel/water mixture into the hood of the outboard as seen below. It comes out of the engine block beneath the carburator. Does anyone know what this hose is for and where it is supposed to be going? The engine runs fine without it.

On the latest pontoon project, while tearing down all the old rubber that went into the deck edging to hide the screws totally disintegrated almost. I will post pics of it later of what it looked like, but is there anywhere that you folks know about where i could find this stuff?

Unfortunately, somehow my outboard was dropped and the part of the tiller arm that is bolted to the outboard snapped. This may be a stupid question, but what kind of metal is this? And can I just get it welded back together?
While fixing up some of the old outboards I have, a few of them have small holes in the copper gas line running from the tank to the carb. My question is, can i just grab my soldering iron and solder and just put some solder over the hole or what is a better fix?

Hi everyone, I finally got the QD-15 I've been working on up and running. The problem is, when I took it out on the boat to try it out, it acted like the gears would slip into nuetral whenever I throttled above the stop position. Then when I would throttle down to around the start position again...
I've got a 1950 johnson QD-10 10HP that has no spark. After searching this forum I cant seem to find the right points or coils for this one. It has points unlike others I've heard and the coils are a bit bigger than the one everyone else says to use. Does anyone have the part numbers for them?
