I was told by a mercury dealer that Mercury made the best aluminium props. Other companies like Michegan Wheel have more porous castings and aren't as good. What you you experts say about that???? Michegan Wheel is cheaper .

I hit some wood with my aluminum prop. I have a 25 hp merc. I dinged the one blade. Roughed the edge somewhat. I filed it down and can hardly notice any difference between it and the other blades. I know about the balance of pros and am wondering if running on this particular prop would damage...
I had to go to the Merc. dealer to get a part for my merc engine. He tole me to only use merc products in my engine because any other type would do damage. is this true?? Does the fact that a bass pro shop is being built have anything to do with his answer ?
