    Compression question on a 25hp Johnson

    1984 Johnson 25 Mod# j25elcrs Ser# e6005425 Top cylinder reads 145lbs and bottom cylinder reads 125lbs So what is your-alls opinion on the compression? Would it be wise to put money into this little old guy or not? Thanks!

    Trim tabs are stuck in the up postion?

    Bennett trim tabs, #V 351 Unit has power, sounds alright when I push the tab buttons. Fluid level is correct. They just do not move. any help would be awesome! Thanks

    Re: Cooling system diagram Hi Don S, Here is another picture...I am not seeing a sea water pump. It looks like to me there is no fresh water/sea water getting to the engine? Does the fresh water from the oudrive impeller pump the water to the engine?

    Model # J25ELCRS Ser# E6005435 Just picked up this outboard and it came with a OMC Key throttle control..(not sure what it is called) Anyway, there are no wires for hooking up to the/a Batt. or to the motor itself. The only cables are the forward and reverse, gas throttle and a electric plug...
