I have a tach that needs to be replaced. I believe my original tach is a 6Y5-8350T-90 that is obsolete and can be replaced by 6Y5-8350T-DO but cost ~$260.
(Motor = 2005 Yamaha 175 HPDI VZ175TLRZ)

I've got a 2005 Yamaha 175hp HPDI. There is a ~1/4" clear tubing that come straight off the top of motor (compression nut) that appears to route down engine and go into the bundle of wire/cables that come out front of motor (big flex hose covering) across splash well and into hull...

My 1997 Skeeter SS140 dual console has a storage/rodbox on one side (passenger) and a storage compartment in center. There is nothing on the driver's side (see attached pic).

What is the max RPM I should run this engine? I noticed when "wide-open", I was pushing 4,800 to 5,000 rpm.
