    1972 Lund Intrepid 21ft

I was browsing CL and came across this one, never even heard of it. Looks really heavy duty. Thought it would be cool to post.

    Stainless outboard mount bolts

Does anybody know where I can get fine-thread stainless bolts to mount the outboard to the transom. I can only find course-thread stainless bolts. I find that the course-thread bolts jam very easily and break, even with a hand ratchet.

    1976 Lund VFR 17.5ft

My boat building project began with a Starcraft SS (http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=360586). I started with the trailer and spent a lot of time on it. So much time, that while working on the trailer, I ran across a Lund VFR on Craigslist that I couldn't pass up. It was engineless...

    Confession-the Starcraft is gone

It's with a heavy heart that I have to report that I sold my Starcraft SS. Blame it on Craigslist. It all started 2 weeks ago. A 1976 17.5ft Lund VFR popped up an an hour and a half away at a great price. Nothing against Starcrafts, but I have always been partial to aluminum Lund boats, so...

OK to move consoles back on my SS?

If you've seen my resto-thread, you know I am redoing my 16ft SS. I'm working mostly on the trailer now, but I'm thinking ahead. I really want to put a 48" live well in the boat, I want to be able to do an occasional muskie tournament. I'm planning on a fishdeck in the bow, same height as the...

    Starcraft reference

I found this: http://www.iboats.com/Starcraft_Boats/bp/20br1466 today while doing a search on the Nova. It is a very handy reference that iboats provides. You can find out every model for every year as well as exact length, dry weight, beam and hp rating. I've seen these questions asked...

WW25D (what will 25hp do) contest

OK armchair engineers awhile back I asked how a 25hp Yamaha would do on my new 72 Starcraft SS rated at 85hp. I got some good advice, but now I am asking you to put up a number. Not because I am lazy, but just the opposite, I just finished installing the motor on the Starcraft and am getting...

What's best to fill holes in a wooden transom?

I removed the motor from my 72 Starcraft SS. I intend on repowering it next year with a late model motor. What should I use to fill the holes in the wood. I imagine some type of epoxy would be best. I want it waterproof(obviously) but also strong and suitable for wood. Thank you in advance!

    Repowering a 1972 16ft SS

Hi, I'm a newbie here. I just picked up a 72 Starcraft SS off craigslist for $500.(Pictures to come) I've always admired the hull design and I have big plans to convert this to a modern style walleye type fishing boat(sorry purists). I already own a 16ft Lund Pike with a good 99 Yamaha 25 HP...
