    Cleaning out a fuel pump...

    So, I've figured out that my fuel pump is not working. I've ordered a rebuild kit which should be here tomorrow. In the meantime, there are deposits of old fuel line in the pump I'd like to clean out. Can I just use some carb cleaner or throttle body cleaner or something like that?
