    Tips for installing Helicoil in lower unit ????

    One of the bolts on the lower unit stripped out this weekend. I got a helicoil kit to fix the threads however i am a little anxious about drilling and screwing it up. Anyone have an tips for drilling straight at a wierd angle? Or perhaps some words of wisdom from those who have done it...

    WOT - 31mph@4100rpm HELP

    New boat to me. 2001 Johnson 135 21ft Four Winns. WOT gets me 4100 rpm at 31 mph. Seems like it takes forever to get on plane and anything less than 3500 and it loses plane. Trimming up helps a little with planing but RPM doesn't change. I think the prop is 14.5 x 17. It has a few dings...

    No spark - How to test stator / power pack

    Exhaust Hose Replacement - HELP

    Any tips for replacing the exhaust hose on a AQ131? I have taken off the clamps, but the gap between the mainfold and the pipe (riser?) attached to the drive is awfuly small. Is there something else that has to be removed?
