Wondering where to start...local mech said it was crank position indicator...replaced that and no relief. I don't have a computer, but manual says when running rough below 3000 rpm, pencil coil could be the issue. Any ideas? Btw runs smooth below 2400....thanks!
I just purchased a 1999 Sea Ray Sundeck with a 5.0 Mercruiser. Its runs great but the ammeter is pegged as long as the engine runs. Any ideas on where I should start. If I understand correctly the voltage regulator is part of the alternator. Can I have this bench tested at the auto parts store...
I have a 2006 Merc 70hp 4 stroke that needs a new Alternator Belt...I've acquired the puller but now need to pull the flywheel, as the belt is smaller in diameter than the flywhell itself...any have any gotchas to pulling or reinstalling? thanks.....

I'm installing a toy tank in my houseboat and have a pump and filter system picked out. What I need to know is what material can I use to extend the fuel line about 15 feet (its 1 inch). Can I plumb pipe or must I use Flex line....thanks!

It ran good there, but at 5000 ft I'm having some problems. 1st off I think I need to reprop due to altitude change...anyone have any suggestions?
