    It sounds like gears slipping and trying to catch. It's seems as if I accelerate past the noise. When it makes the noise if I give it more throttle it goes away. It doesn't make the noise every time either.

    Yamaha 250 flywheel nut

    I have a 1991 L250TXRP and I am trying to figure out how big the metric flywheel nut is. It is the same nut used on a number of model years for the 250 hp engine. Yamaha themselves doesn't seem to have the answer. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
