Just to say a little about my 1967 14' Alumacraft FD model. I finally got to run tho old gal yesterday. Running a new mercury 9.9 it performed great. Put about 3 hours on it breaking in so far. Boat rode so sweet in the water and the merc pushed it better than I expected. at 3/4 throttle even in...
Well I find this very interesting. My # is FD14270 Alumacraft told me it is a 1967 model. So that's what I am going with. Now any help with the specs would be great! Maybe it can help someone in the future. Or not lol. Still a good ole boat
A little update. I got ambitious and removed lower unit. Impeller was there but not in a nice condition. Waiting on the parts now. Note to all the nubies, Make sure to keep up with the pin! Kinda hard to find once you lose it! Anyway wish me luck in putting things back together! Hey, I only...
Great story . When we are young stupid things are the norm I think. I know I done plenty of them. Wonder sometimes how I lived through them. But as my daughter said, " Why do you have so many stories to tell?" I told her it is because I did so many stupid things . I made a few with he as an...
A little update on my old 15 hp gamefisher. I do realize it is not a world shattering thing, but I like to talk too much. I got the old tinny in the water last weekend. Floats great with no leaks. The old Gamefisher starts and idles great even after years of mostly improper storage. I have...
I found the manual today. I may have been looking at the wrong spot. Or I may need to clean out the discharge port. I dod find an old wasp nest in it lol
Well I started to ol gamefisher today. After a little hot and miss it started and ran great. One thing I noticed was when pulling starter rope i saw water coming out the pee hole. But when running not a bit. Any suggestions for a not so much knowledge guy?
I will be trying it out Saturday. It is solid state ignition. Will be using new plugs also. Finding information on this motor seems hard to find. If it works as good as it did the last time I am golden. It has less than 50 hours on it.
