    I have a old 17 foot seaark jon boat with a tunnel hull. I found a inexpensive jack plate to raise the 20in motor, in essence making it a short shaft for the tunnel hull. Does anyone have any experience with this and will it make that muck of a difference? Bill

    cranking motor help

    I have a 88 mer 35hp outboard. The cranking motor/starter some times decides it won't raise to engage the fly wheel. I give it a couple of hits then it works. What is the best way to fix this. Replace the cranking motor or pull it and take it apart? The seloc said it is a gummy bendex drive...

    fuel issues

    The fuel bulb won't get hard when i pump it, so motor won't turn over. I added a deck to a old jon boat and installed a moeller permanent fuel tank, all new lines and fittings. The motor is a 80's mercury 35 outboard. I not even sure where to begin! what should i be looking for? Bill

    neg wirer connection

    I am fixing up a old jon boat. My guestion is, is it ok to run front of my boat neg to a bus bar then connect to the boat or do i need to run a line back to the neg on the battery. Thanks :confused:
