    Fuel System Priming...

Has anybody used the OMC Electric Fuel Primer Kit P/N 174651? "The kit mounts near the fuel supply and when activated, fills the fuel distribution lines and engine fuel system for quicker starting." Sure would be nice to do away with those primer bulbs! Any thought...pros/cons. I've heard...

Has anybody out there had any experience with Turbo Lube Hubs by Tie Down www.tiedown.com These are oil bath hubs, not the typical grease filled wheel hubs. These hubs have been used for years on large trucks (18 wheelers, etc.) now their available for your boat trailer...

    Scott Attwater...

Remember these old motor had a self bailer on them that you would throw in the bottom of the boat. This seemed like a great idea then and now... Why was this idea not picked up by todays outboards? Were they a problem? I've always wondered why?

    Steelespike...I have a question.

Are you in the outboard manual business? Many people that have a small or infrequent problem with their motor do not chose to own or have the money for a manual. I personally have a manual on my twin 175 HP Evinrudes but still have questions. It's getting a little "old" telling everybody that...

    Tilt...

When at the dock I tilt my motors (twin 175 HP Evinrudes) to clear the water. This prevents growth build up on the lower unit (except for a very small area). Question: The motor has a tilt lock (do not confuse with trailering lock); should I lock at dock vs just tilting motors up. If I use...

    Pink STUFF...

Did you ever see that pink discoloration that is seen on vinyl cooler seat, bolsters, cushions. I've been told that it is a vinyl bacteria that is also seen in vinyl wall paper. I'm also told that the only way to improve it is to ; dye it or replace it. Anybody have any experiences out there...

    Pink stuff...

Have you ever noticed the pink discoloration on vinyl? Looks like a bird dropped something after eating berries. What causes this? I have heard it is a vinyl bacteria that appears on bolster, cusions, seat, cooler covers, etc. I have also been told that it is impossible to get off, possibly...

    Evinrude 175HP, mysterious shut down

I have a pair of 1996 Evinrude Ocean Pro's, 175 HP, on my 24' Boston Whaler Outrage. The starboard motor shuts down mysteriously at a variety of rpms; will always restart. The motors run perfectly otherwise. Max RPM is 5500 each. This problem started late last year and continues this year...
