I picked up what appears a 1986 EZ Loader trailer, been going through replacing hardware and finishing up replacing the roller wheels, my question is about the rear transom load bearing arms that the wheels attach to . Ive noticed on the inside of those cast aluminum arms are a nubbin stop...

Ever since ive owned this motor for last several years i havent been able to hold the motor in a tilt lock position. There is a thumb type lock and release tab but unable to lock unit into position when tilted. Could there be a step ive been...
Then would a 50:1 mix be a much richer fuel mix over a 24:1?...could it explain why i've been getting a bit more blueish/ grey smoke using a 50:1 mix since ive ownd the motor and 1970 12ft. Valco for last twelve years...even when ive used a 50:1 mix with my outboard mux knobs more toward 3/4...
