    Ignition problems: 1. Surges while idling 2. Backfires and stalls 3. Sometimes won't start at all (no spark on either wire - tested with air gap tester) Any advice would be greatly appreciated... Points? Coil? Distributor? Timing? The motor is RDSL-25D Johnson Seahorse 40 Thanks!!

    RDSL-25D Johnson Seahorse 40 HP Lower Unit Removal

    I need help knowing how to drop the lower unit completely out of the upper unit. The lower unit is bad (cracked) and I have a replacement lower unit from an RDSL-23. I'll need a step by step since it doesn't seem very obvious to me, especially how to release the shift pin. Thanks

    Re: Fiberglass and wood. Has anyone had any luck modifying the height of these chairs? The plastic base looks like I might be able to cut it down a bit. They're a bit too high for my boat. If you think it is possible, please give me some advice on what you think might work.

    I just bought a fiberglass boat and had to tear out the blocks the seats were on because they were rotting. The problem is, I don't know how to build and install a new wooden box to put the seats on. How can you do this to a fiberglass hull?

    I just bought a Johnson 40 HP Electric Seahorse outboard motor and the reverse/neutral cable is broken. Any suggestions on where I could get a new one and/or how to install it? I'm a first time boat owner.
