I am rebuilding my OMC 350 due to spun rod bearings and was wondering a few things.
I have no idea what was done to this engine other than it has 202 heads and roller tip rockers.
Are there special marine bearing I should be looking for? I know there are special gaskets.

Would I be able to pull the engine without having to take the drive off or is it necessary to take the drive off?

First boat bought for $3200 and the "new" rebuilt engine with 26 hours on it spun rod bearings. Maybe next year I'll get some enjoyment out of it :)

Dwell moves when revving the engine - worn distributor gear excessive play I was told.
Will this cause the oil pressure to drop as well since the distributor drives the oil pump?
