I have a 1994 Mercury 40 hp 2 stroke 4 clyinder That I am replacing the stator on.I got the new stator from the local marina off of a parts motor that is identical to mine but the new stator has seven wires and mine has six. Where does the extra wire go ?????????????????? Please help if you can.
The other day I was out enjoying my boat then I shut it off and five minutes later it would'nt start.Why would it run fine all summer and then all of the sudden no spark? It turns over like it should but no spark..Please feel free to chime in with any ideas. thanks Tom.:confused:
