    How do I remove the prop shaft from my 1948 evinrude 1.5hp, 4425???

    So, I have the lower unit in a vice and have removed two snaprings, a rubber bushing, washer, and am to the bearings. The prop shaft is surrounded by what looks like a threaded cap. Am I on the right track? I just don't want to risk breaking this piece if I start beating on it to see if it...

    What is the difference between these two outboards? And what identifies the 20H as such? I have looked at several pictures of both and the only difference I can tell so far is where the mount holes are drilled on the front emblem face. Thanks.

    How do I disasemble this mid section

    I am in the disassembly process on this 1953 Johnson Seahorse with a 5 hp TN28 motor. All was going well until I got to the Midsection. I took the bolt out that squeezes the bottom piece to the pipe like sleeve. I don't want to hammer on it to much or is it threaded? The pictures may explain...
