I have a 3Litre LX Mercruiser fitted with Delco EST ignition.
which runs on when you turn the ignition switch off
What I have found is that when I fit a jump lead between two white wires hanging out of the distributor, and then send 12volts down the white/green wire the
engine will not go...
I have a 2002 60 EFI.
While I was changing the spark plugs,
I noticed that the drive shaft housing had corroded where the water tube fits.
I removed the power head and lower unit.
I looked at the gasket surfaces on the adaptor
I replaced the drive shaft housing using new gaskets and a new water...
