I have a 3.0L volvo gl. ON the back of the motor is a blue cap where I can hook up a water hose for flushing the engine. If I want to run the motor out of the water do I just hook up here or do I have to hook up "muffs" on the outdrive water intake?

I have a 2006 seaswirl bowrider with a 3.0 L volvo penta glp-d. One of the major problems I have doing things like changing the impeller or the fuel filter is getting at the front of the engine.

I have a 2006 seaswirl 170 with the bench seat at the back. It looks a little tight to get to the waterpump so that I can change the impeller. Has any one tried taking the back off of the bench? And if so any advice on how to do it?
What product do you use to pump the oil out of the dipstick tube when you change it?
I have a small "self priming" drill pump that doesn't seem to self prime at all and is temperamental when you do get it going so I need a better option.
When doing yearly maintenanceon a 2006 VP 3.0L GL-P does the fuel filter need to be replaced. In the manual it describes cleaning a fuel filter screen but there does not appear to be a canister type filter on this model.

I recently hit a rock and have a fairly deep scratch on the outdrive just above the oil drain screw/ I want to paint the scratch but would like to fill it first. Is there a JB weld product that will work? and if so which one the marine weld or perhaps the weld stick?

I have a 2500lb glass bowrider with a penta 3.0L. The OEM prop was a 3 blade 15x17. At WOT would turn just under 4700 rpm at 40mph.
Unfortunately I banged up that prop on the weekend and the only replacement I could get quickly was a 4blade 14.5x17. It seems like the max speed has gone down...
