    wood transom on aluminum boat

    is this normal?

My tail shaft housing gets hot enough to evaporate water that splashes up. The water comes out in good amounts and is also very hot. Should I be worried about overheating? Is here something wrong? I posted this question once but now I can't find it on the forum. Thanks for your insight in advance.

    is this normal?

I have a 1957 35 horse evinrude that runs great, but it seems to get very hot right where the tail goes into the water. The water shoots out good all the time but is very hot also. The tail gets hot enough to evaporate water when it splashes up.<br />Should I be concerned?
