Ive just finished doing up a 55hp evinrude motor. I have a set of muffs on it but after i start i dont seet the water coming from the motor and after 10 min the overheat alarm comes on. But ive replaced the impeller and the like what do yiu think it could be.....
MyEvinrude 55hp 1976 wont idle after starting then dies as if its got no fuel little hard to start after that then the same thing happens. I. Am thinking the filter in the fuel pump may need to be replaced and its not sealing on the filter cover,
Im trying to remove the steering cable but I cant remove it from the tilt tube. Ive lubed it up with grease and still no go. Is there something holding it in the tube? I've removed the motor from the boat and teleflex rotates but wont come out or move.
