    69 Evinrude, no fire

    Bought my 1st boat, used. Previous owner had installed a car coil so it would run at sale.<br />Have installed a power pak, (OUCH!), and coil, both new and the correct ones for the engine. 1969 55 hp Evinrude. Model# 55esl69A. When switch is on, I can hear power pak clicking but no fire coming...

    Have an 86? eninrude, 55hp that runs ruff at idle and will not reach full rpm at full throtle. Acts like the engine is smothering, carbs have just been reworked.
